Whitestone Contracting is looking for an experienced and motivated Minor Works Foreperson to join our team.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, coordinating people and equipment, and making sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

As Minor Works Foreperson, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a range of civil and maintenance projects. You will lead a small crew, coordinate resources and work closely with our wider operations team to keep projects moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a small civil works crew.
• Coordinating daily work activities, plant, materials and resources.
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Reading and understanding plans, specifications and job requirements.
• Carrying out minor civil construction, maintenance and reinstatement works.
• Liaising with clients, supervisors, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring productivity, quality and project progress.
• Completing required site documentation and reporting.
• Identifying and managing site hazards and ensuring health and safety requirements are followed.
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Operating plant and equipment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in civil construction or infrastructure works.
• Has previous experience leading a crew or working in a Foreperson/Leading Hand capacity.
• Has a strong understanding of site safety and good work practices.
• Can confidently organise people, plant and materials.
• Has good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
• Can work independently while being part of a wider team.
• Holds a current driver's licence, with Class 2 or above preferred.
• Holds WTR endorsement.
• Has relevant civil qualifications or industry experience.
