Whitestone Contracting Ltd is a well-established, award-winning construction company delivering a wide range of civil works across Otago. With depots in Alexandra and Dunedin and our head office in Oamaru, we're proud to play a key role in roading, civil construction, surfacing, landscaping, and vegetation control throughout the region.

We're looking for a skilled Truck Driver / Civil Construction Operator to join our Roading team based in Alexnadra. This is a permanent, full-time role offering variety, stability, and the chance to work on exciting projects across Otago.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll be a key part of our roading and civil construction operations, taking pride in your vehicle and delivering high-quality work. Your tasks will include:

• Gravel spreading and stockpiling material
• Transporting plant and equipment
• Working across drainage, roading, earthworks, and subdivision projects
• Operating other plant as required (WTR endorsements an advantage)
• Carrying out general civil construction work and labouring when needed

We want someone who is:

• Experienced in truck driving within the construction industry
• Skilled in routine vehicle maintenance
• Motivated, reliable, and able to work within established systems and procedures
• Safety-conscious and committed to quality workmanship

What you'll need

• Relevant industry experience
• Class 4 licence (Class 5 and WTR endorsements advantageous)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug test, and Ministry of Justice check
